Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Trinity Joy is the visionary artist behind Thee Traperinna, a movement fusing trap energy with ballet precision—her signature style, Trapllet. A proud Cass Technical High School alumna, Trinity launched Thee Traperinna in 2021 and first went viral in 2022. In March 2023, a raw “Jesus Walks” performance—where her wig came off—caught Beyoncé’s eye. Beyoncé personally discovered her, crowned her “Ms. Buckwild,” and made Trinity’s first professional job Beyoncé—a truly rare, industry-defying debut.
Since then, Trinity has performed and choreographed for Beyoncé on the Renaissance World Tour and Cowboy Carter, including a standout pointe solo/duet that showcases her Trapllet legacy. She’s brought that same blend of elegance and edge to collaborations with Ciara, Megan Thee Stallion, Shaboozey, and Pastor Mike Jr. Equally fluent in the culture of social media and the demands of the professional stage, Trinity is an anomaly—the bridge between viral influence and elite artistry.
An Ebony Power 100 honoree featured in The Washington Post, Trinity continues to expand Thee Traperinna while her work keeps going viral. She openly credits Jesus for ordering her steps—including having a hand in the Beyoncé moment—proving that when grace, grit, and God align, legacies are born.
